Cloudgate collects your personal data only for the purpose of providing and improving our services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Application or Website. It also explains your rights under privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA. By using Cloudgate, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Interpretation and Definitions
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined
under the following conditions.
The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether
they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Account means a unique account created for You to access
our Service or parts of our Service.
Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by
or is under common control with a party, where “control” means ownership of
50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to
vote for election of directors or other managing authority.
Application means the Cloudgate software program provided
by us on any device.
Business (CCPA) refers to Cloudgate.dev LLC, the legal
entity that determines the purposes and means of processing Consumers’
personal information and that does business in the State of
California.
Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or
“Our”) refers to Cloudgate.dev LLC. For the purpose of the GDPR, the Company
is the Data Controller.
Consumer (CCPA) means a natural person who is a California
resident, as defined by law.
Cookies are small files placed on Your device for purposes
such as authentication and analytics.
Country refers to: United States.
Data Controller (GDPR) refers to the Company as the legal
person which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means
of the processing of Personal Data.
Device means any device that can access the Service such as
a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
Do Not Track (DNT) refers to browser signals intended to
limit tracking. Cloudgate does not currently respond to DNT signals.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an
identified or identifiable individual. For GDPR, this includes identifiers
(name, email, IP, online IDs) and factors specific to identity. For CCPA,
this includes information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably
be linked with you.
Sale (CCPA) means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing,
disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating a
Consumer’s Personal Information to another business or a third party for
monetary or other valuable consideration.
Service refers to the Application and/or the Website.
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who
processes data on behalf of the Company (e.g., hosting, analytics,
payments). For GDPR, Service Providers are Data Processors.
Third-party Social Media Service refers to any website or
social network through which a user can log in or create an account to use
the Service.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically,
generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure
itself (e.g., page views, session duration).
Website refers to the Cloudgate website, accessible from
https://cloudgate.dev
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or
the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is
accessing or using the Service, as applicable. Under GDPR,
You can be referred to as the Data Subject or User.
Types of Data Collected
Account Information: When you register, we collect name,
email, and authentication details to provide account access and track
progress.
Progress Data: Stored to allow you to track and recover
your workflow progress across devices.
Usage Data: May include IP address, browser type, device
identifiers, pages visited, and session duration for security and
performance.
Cookies & Similar Tech: Used primarily for login
sessions and basic analytics (if enabled). You can control cookies via your
browser settings.
We do not access nor collect keystrokes from your keyboard.
Everything you type in your own applications remains on your device.
Google API Disclosure
Cloudgate uses Google APIs (e.g., Google Sign-In and Google Drive integration) to make account creation/login and file access easier. Cloudgate’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Use of Your Personal Data
Cloudgate may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
• To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor usage and ensure
security;
• To manage your Account and authentication;
• To perform a contract (purchases or other agreements with us);
• To contact you regarding updates, security alerts, and administrative
messages;
• To send optional newsletters or marketing (you may opt out at any
time);
• To manage and respond to your requests and support tickets;
• For analytics to improve our Service, products, and user experience;
• For fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance;
• For business transfers (e.g., merger or acquisition), with prior notice to
you where required.
Cloudgate does not sell your Personal Information.
Sharing of Your Personal Data
We may share your Personal Data only in these situations:
• Service Providers: Hosting, analytics, payments, email
delivery (under contract, limited to necessary purposes).
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger,
acquisition, or sale of assets; we will notify you via email or prominent
notice if your data is transferred.
• Affiliates and Business Partners: Only where they are
bound to honor this Privacy Policy.
• Legal Requirements: Where required to comply with law,
regulation, or valid legal process.
• With Your Consent: For any other purpose you authorize.
Retention of Data
• Account Data: Retained until you delete your account or
the account becomes inactive per our data retention schedule.
• Usage Data: Retained for a minimum of 3
months for
analytics and security, unless a longer period is required by law or for
legitimate business needs.
• Certain records may be kept longer to comply with legal obligations,
resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Data Security
We store Personal Data on secure servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Your Rights
GDPR (EU/EEA): You may request access, correction,
deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and data portability. You
may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on
consent.
CCPA (California): You have the right to know what we
collect and why, to access and delete Personal Information, and to be free
from discrimination for exercising your rights. Cloudgate does not sell
Personal Information.

Account Deactivation & Deletion
You may deactivate your account in settings (if available). You may also request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Once deleted, your data may not be recoverable.
Children’s Privacy
Cloudgate does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
International Data Transfers
If you access Cloudgate from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions. For EU/EEA users, when applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Cookies and “Do Not Track”
We use cookies primarily for authentication and to improve the Service (e.g., performance, preferences, basic analytics). You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Cloudgate does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
